Chiropractic Techniques

Dr. Geipel, because of his length of time as a chiropractor he has learned many techniques to help people. Because everyone has different needs and concerns each person may need one or more specialized techniques.

Since some people are concerned about hearing their bones cracking, so for those concerned, we use Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique (B.E.S.T.) which is considered the most gentle of techniques.

Other people feel that if they don't hear the cracking that nothing was done and for those the technique of Diversified is used which is the most widely used technique in the world.

Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a technique used to balance the body's function. With this system normal and abnormal body function can be evaluated using muscle tests. Evaluation can be done on the nervous, vascular, lymphatic, nutrition, acupuncture, cerebrospinal fluid function. Many times a weak muscle does not necessarily mean poor muscle function but possible trouble with the organ or other tissue on the same nerve, vascular or nutritional grouping. If these muscles become imbalanced, then postural distortions and pain can occur. Using AK can rebalance the system and health can be restored naturally.

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) is a technique used by Dr. Geipel to address the emotional component. This technique uses chiropractic and physiological procedures to return our body's response to different stresses to a more balanced response. It has been scientifically shown that each emotion is produced by a specific chemical (example: neuropeptide) produced by the body. The technique balances these chemicals and thereby balancing the emotions resulting in the body becoming balanced.

What is TBM?
TBM is adjunct to all existing chiropractic philosophies used for the restoration and maintenance for the optimum health of our patients. The main philosophy is the power that made the body can heal the body. TBM stands for Total Body Modification. It has been found that if the right thing is done to the right body at the right time in the right way, the body can heal. It is a combination of old chiropractic techniques combined with modern technology. We use a simple indicator muscle test and test points located throughout the body to determine the positive or negative function of that body. Depending on the area and a system that is out of function, different techniques can be used to realign the function and thereby restore function and communication within the body. DD. Palmer said, “Too much or too little energy is pathology.” Total Body Modification evolved from the minds and insights of Dr. Victor L. Frank and the late Dr. C. Harold Havlic. Dr. Geipel met Dr. Frank in the early 90's and studied under him and his various techniques and have been using them since to help people with a mired of different ailments. The idea is to not treat the ailment but to treat the body. If the body becomes imbalanced it can express itself in different ways and then a different disease name can be put on it. If the body functions at 100% of its potential then it will not get sick. This is one of the main philosophies that I have learned from Dr. Victor Frank. What is pH?
pH stands for potential of hydrogen ion concentration. pH scale goes from 0.00 which is completely acid to 14.00 which is completely alkaline. Distilled water has a pH of 7. Blood should have a pH of 7.35-7.45. If blood goes out of this range we would not be able to survive very long. In our office the main pH we test is saliva pH. According to Dr. Morter the optimum pH of the saliva is 6.8 and then after it is stressed by a high acid food such as a chewable vitamin C and then cleared from the mouth pH should be 8.0. Anything out of that is considered non optimum. Urine pH should be between 5.5 and 5.8 if the person's alkaline reserve is adequate. The saliva pH can change more to emotional stresses whereas the urine pH will change more from the foods that we have recently eaten. It is important to maintain optimum pH in order to maintain optimum health. If the pH is not correct then the normal body function will be stressed and unable to perform at their full potential. Here at Geipel Chiropractic as a Morter Health Systems doctor we can advise you about the foods to eat to improve your diet, your body's pH, and your health. We can tell you what your pH readings mean and answer your questions about how your eating habits affect the way that you feel and how healthy you are.
